This is my personal blog on the e-book The Secret Law of Attraction.
GRATITUDE
I just finished reading the e-book The Secret Law of Attraction for the second time in its entirety. And I have to say that it is a very well written book for its purpose. The ideas were explained in a simple but clear manner with anectodes here and there for even easier understanding. I also appreciate that it has been stripped of philosophical theories for simpletons like me.
My favourite part of the book is the chapter on gratitude. This is so because it makes me think of a few very close friends of mine who have battled depression and addiction. In a lot of cases, I’ve seen these people would really try their best to change their ways and state of mind, but would give up on the first sign of an obstacle. There are a number of reasons for that but I believe that one of them is that they have forgotten to be grateful for the little things in life that they have. I know that it is a cliche to say “think positive”, but it is good practice indeed to be grateful for everything to keep ourselves emotionally healthy and therefore, focused on our goals.
How this chapter will help you:
- be grateful
- be emotionally healthy
- think positive
Now, there is also a chapter on the book where I need help with understanding because I do not totally agree with the author. That, I will discuss in my next blog.
Please post your comment below if you have any opinions about this.

Splendid topic choice Grace! The Law of Attraction is one of my favorites.
What you said “it is good practice indeed to be grateful for everything to keep ourselves emotionally healthy and therefore, focused on our goals” I agree with too. Being in a state of gratitude let’s you forget that there are challenges in life.
Grace I am also agreat believer in that you must first appreciate what you have before you can expect to have more of anything . I have recently discovered that the practice of writing in a note pad daily 5 things I am grateful for in my life , has results you have to experience to believe & take it from me it works. Thankyou Grace for your bringing this subject to our attention as more people need to be exposed to the true power of GRATITUDE and how to exercise it effectively, a great post & I look forward to the next one.
